Which platforms can play Transport Fever 3?

Release documentation checked October 2, 2026. Source-based steps, not our own playtest; use the actual build and active mods for your save.

PC, Mac, Linux, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are the announced release platforms

TF3 released September 29, 2026. The developer lists Windows PC, macOS and Linux through Steam, Epic and GOG, plus PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo Switch is not in that list. A Steam purchase alone does not establish Steam Deck verification or a tested handheld frame rate.

What to do

  1. Choose the exact platform before buying a key or upgrade. Match the store entitlement to the platform and account you will use; a Steam PC upgrade is not evidence of a console upgrade entitlement.
  2. For a computer, compare the complete requirements. The current Mac listing specifies Apple Silicon, starting at M2 Pro, and does not support Intel Macs. Check storage, operating system and GPU details as well as the brand name.
  3. For Steam Deck, check the current Steam compatibility panel and a dated TF3 test on your exact device. This guide has not verified a Deck rating or FPS preset. Do not copy a TF2 preset and call it a TF3 benchmark.
  4. For PS5 or Xbox, use the matching store and check known issues. The developer currently says PC saves uploaded to Mod Hub are not available to download on consoles; future compatibility is planned without a date in that notice.
  5. If searching for beta or early access, distinguish historical testing from the released game. The official FAQ says no more beta applications are sought. Pre-order messaging from before release is not a current signup or free demo promise.

How to tell it worked

The selected store lists the game for your actual platform, your computer meets the applicable requirements and the entitlement appears on the intended account. Check any save-transfer or handheld expectation separately.

If you are still stuck

Switch or another unlisted platform: no release date is established here. Xbox saved-data warning: the developer acknowledges a warning before the 2GB quota and lists no workaround. Exact launch-hour schedules, future ports and Deck performance remain unknown; avoid treating estimates as official support.
