CARGO · VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY

Vehicle not loading cargo?

Applies to Urban Games' announced four-category cargo system before the September 29, 2026 release. Check the vehicle list and menu labels again in the release build.

Match the cargo category

A specialized vehicle only carries its supported cargo category. TF3 has liquid, bulk, flatbed and goods cargo. Match the load to the vehicle and any specialized loading or warehouse module, or use a universal vehicle to test the route.

The four announced categories

These are the examples Urban Games gives, not a complete list of every cargo or vehicle in the release build.

Check an empty vehicle in order

  1. Confirm a load exists at the origin. Inspect the producing industry, not just the platform. In TF3, produced cargo waits at the industry until collected. If no cargo is waiting, use the industry pickup check first.
  2. Identify the cargo category. Match the goods you intend to collect to the vehicle's supported cargo types. A specialized liquid, bulk, flatbed or goods vehicle cannot take a different category; a universal vehicle is the flexible test option.
  3. Check the pickup point. Send the compatible vehicle to the industry's integrated dock, or to an added station within the industry's catchment. If you fitted a specialized loading module, make sure it matches the cargo category too.
  4. Run one pickup and inspect the load. Watch the waiting amount at the producer and the cargo shown on the vehicle. The developer describes overlays for waiting and in-transit cargo.

What success looks like

The assigned vehicle leaves the pickup carrying the intended cargo, and the producer's waiting stock falls. That confirms the first loading step. It does not yet prove a later warehouse handoff or delivery worked.

If it still stays empty

  • Wrong or unknown vehicle capability: test the route with a universal cargo vehicle, then replace it with a suitable specialized vehicle if speed matters.
  • Compatible vehicle but no load: recheck the origin's waiting stock, actual loading stop and catchment in the empty-station guide.
  • Vehicle loads, next line does not: the category check has passed. Follow the warehouse handoff; ports and platforms are not line-to-line storage.
  • Fish ship to truck specifically: also check the ship's loading direction in the fish transfer example.

Urban Games has not published a complete model-by-model cargo list or final-build menu path in this source. Check the displayed capability of the vehicle you actually use.
