VEHICLES / SAVED COMPOSITIONS

Save a train setup before closing the purchase window

Save Your Train mod version 1.0, author instructions checked 2026-10-15. We have not playtested it; exact game-build compatibility and console behavior are unverified.

Use the mod's Save Train button under the cart

Save Your Train adds a preset bar to Buy Vehicles. According to its author, it saves the locomotive, wagons, order, direction, colours, load settings and purchase amount. Select a saved preset to refill the cart later. This is a mod feature; you still need money to buy the train and must save the game to keep its presets.

Save and recall a composition

  1. Back up the save you intend to use. Find Save Your Train by DysonHeluck in Mod Hub and enable it for that game using the mod installation steps. The listing is a script mod; subscribing is not proof it is active in the loaded save.
  2. Open Buy Vehicles and assemble the desired train in the cart. Check the locomotive, wagon sequence, direction and cargo settings before creating the preset.
  3. Use Save Train in the new bar below the cart. Enter a memorable name or leave the name empty to use the author's automatic naming behavior.
  4. Close and reopen the purchase window, then select the saved train's button. Check the recalled cart before pressing Buy. Recalling the composition does not buy it automatically or remove the purchase cost.
  5. Save the game after creating presets. The author stores them inside the savegame. To remove one preset, use its adjacent x; keep rail and tram presets in their corresponding vehicle context.

How to tell it worked

The named button appears, selecting it restores the intended vehicles and settings to the cart, and the preset remains after saving and reopening that game. Check order, direction and load configuration as well as the name. The author's description is the evidence for this sequence, not a claim that we reproduced it.

If a saved train does not appear or load

  • No preset bar: check that the correct mod is enabled for the currently loaded game and record other UI mods before reporting a conflict. We have not established a universal conflict fix.
  • A preset cannot load after removing a vehicle mod: the author says a missing vehicle prevents that train from loading and produces a message. Restore the required vehicle content or assemble a replacement; do not assume the preset silently substitutes a model.
  • Presets vanish after leaving: confirm you saved that game after making them and reopened the same save. They are not documented as a global library shared across all games.
  • You wanted a station blueprint or automatic fleet replacement: this mod saves a purchase-cart train composition. Those are different tasks; it does not establish support for either feature.
